What is CoolMini?
CoolMini is an entirely non-invasive treatment option for double chin removal. A specialized handpiece is used to deliver fat-freezing technology to isolated pockets of fat that are otherwise hard to treat on their own. Over time, damaged fat cells are metabolized and flushed from the body leaving you with a more sculpted profile.
CoolMini is a no-downtime procedure. Side effects are typically minor and short-lived. You may experience slight redness or swelling at the treatment site. However, you’ll be able to return to your day-to-day activities directly after your in-office visit.
What is Kybella?
Kybella is a minimally-invasive injectable that’s specifically designed to target unwanted submental fullness. Prior to treatment, the area will be cleaned, marked, and numbed to ensure an optimal outcome and a comfortable experience. Your dermatologist will place several Kybella injections at precise depths to improve the contours of your chin and jawline. Afterward, you can get back to your normal routine immediately with limited social downtime.
Deoxycholic acid is a naturally-occurring substance found within the body. Its primary purpose is to break down dietary fat for easier metabolization. However, when administered incorrectly, Kybella can be harmful to the surrounding tissue as well. It’s a good idea to choose a skilled Board-certified dermatologist to avoid unnecessary complications or side effects.
When Will I See Results?
Results from both CoolMini and Kybella are gradual and progressive. You’ll likely start to see initial results in about 2-weeks as treated fat cells are metabolized. Continued improvement will occur over the course of several months. Although results can typically be seen with one treatment, most patients need multiple treatments to get the results they want. An optimal outcome can be seen 3-4 months after your final treatment in the series.
Will My Double Chin Be Gone for Good?
Treated fat that has been flushed from the body is unable to return on its own. Most patients report long-lasting results from CoolMini and Kybella when following up treatment with healthy lifestyle habits. Even when weight gain does occur, new fat cells are typically dispersed more evening throughout the body.
