What is Emface®?
Many signs of facial aging are caused by a combination of lost collagen and loss of volume. These changes can result in lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, and loss of definition. Emface® is a unique treatment that uses two forms of energy to rejuvenate your skin and features. One type of energy triggers muscle contractions that enhance lift and definition, while another boosts collagen for more firmness.

How Does Emface® Work?
Emface® uses electromagnetic and radiofrequency energy to achieve results. HIFES (high-intensity facial electrical stimulation) uses electromagnetic energy to stimulate facial muscle contractions. These contractions have the same effect that squats or crunches have on your body muscles, causing them to become larger, stronger, and more toned. The results of this muscle sculpting can produce significantly more lift than new collagen alone.
While muscle stimulation counters volume loss, Emface® fights collagen loss with radiofrequency energy. This energy travels painlessly into the deeper layers of the dermis, where it heats collagen-producing cells called fibroblasts. The radiofrequency energy triggers these fibroblasts to make more collagen, smoothing and lifting your skin.
This combination makes Emface® the only facial treatment to address both common causes of aging without surgery. This non-invasive treatment yields a naturally more lifted, youthful appearance, with sculpted cheeks and other enhanced features. What is an Emface® Treatment Like?
During your Emface® treatment, your provider will clean your skin and apply treatment applicators to your cheeks and forehead. Treatment takes about 25 minutes. Some people find the sensation of their facial muscles contracting strange but not uncomfortable. While your facial muscles are getting their workout, the radiofrequency energy is increasing your collagen production. People report that their skin feels warm but not hot.
What Results Will I See With Emface®?

Am I a Good Candidate for Emface®?
Emface® is noninvasive and safe for almost everyone. Most healthy adults are good candidates. Candidates should have reasonable expectations and understand the risks and benefits of this treatment. You should not have Emface® if you have any form of metal in any part of your head or upper body.
Younger adults can use Emface® as an anti-aging treatment or a way to achieve natural-looking facial sculpting. Older individuals will see improvements in many signs of aging. Candidates should be aware that Emface® does not have the same results as a surgical procedure.
This treatment offers excellent results for individuals who have lost weight and noticed a decrease in facial volume. Unlike treatments that only stimulate collagen production, it provides a more noticeable lift and shape.
Is There Any Downtime With Emface®?
Noninvasive Emface® does not require any downtime. You can return to your usual activities immediately. Your skin may look slightly flushed for an hour or two after treatment, but this should not affect your daily routine. Because Emface® is downtime-free, you can have treatments as often as once a week.
