Cellulite
What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is the appearance of dimpling of the skin, typically found in the thighs and buttocks, but it can also appear on the abdomen and upper arms. These dimples are formed by fibrous septae, the tissue bands that connect the skin to the muscle layer beneath. Between the skin and muscles is the adipose layer, responsible for cushioning the backside. When these septae are too short, they pull down on the skin while the fat cells between them bulge up. This produces the dimpling effect cellulite is known for, that unsightly “orange peel” texture no one wants.
How Does Cellulite Form?
Cellulite is the fat cushion beneath the skin, and its thickness and appearance change with a variety of factors. Hormonal changes, pregnancy, genetic factors, lifestyle, and accumulated toxins can all contribute to cellulite. Unfortunately, these fat cells are a type that cannot be burned as fuel by the body, so they’re particularly difficult to reduce.
RESONIC™ Cellulite Treatment:
Soliton’s RESONIC™ RAP (Rapid Acoustic Pulses) treatment uses acoustic soundwaves at 100 arcs per second to penetrate the tissue layers, breaking up the fibrous septae to release their hold and smooth the skin. RAP also stimulates collagen fibers to tighten loose skin, smoothing the entire treatment area for a slimmer, more youthful contour.
Sofwave™ Cellulite Treatment:
Sofwave™ uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB™) technology to tighten and strengthen your skin. Ultrasound energy travels into the deep layers of the skin, triggering cells in the dermis to increase collagen production. New collagen tightens and thickens your skin to smooth the appearance of cellulite.
