How Does Brella™ Work?
The Brella™ patch treats hyperhidrosis using sodium. This common mineral, the same one your doctors often warn you to cut back on, reacts with water in its natural state. When the Brella™ patch is applied, the sodium reacts with the 98% water in your sweat. The reaction generates heat inside the sweat glands. Cell membranes that keep sodium out protect the water inside your skin cells to keep them from being affected.
The heat inside the sweat glands causes damage that stops them from producing sweat. These glands will remain inactive for months. Treating these overactive sweat glands leads to a dramatic decrease in underarm sweat and associated odor. Brella™ can cut your excessive sweating in half, making it easier to control and less frustrating.
What is a Brella™ Treatment Like?
Brella™ is a prescription treatment applied in the office by one of our expert providers. The patch remains on your skin for up to three minutes. You may feel some tingling or warmth during this time, but you should not feel discomfort. Your provider will clean the underarm area before treatment to ensure good contact. You can have treatment on a lunch break and return to your usual activities immediately.
What Results Will I See With Brella™ for Hyperhidrosis?
Your Brella™ results may be noticeable shortly after treatment. The damaged sweat cells will stop producing sweat almost immediately. Most people treated with Brella™ see at least 50% less sweating. Most people will also experience decreased odor due to the decreased sweating. You can expect your results to last at least three to four months. Since treatments only take three minutes, one short visit a few times a year will keep you drier and more comfortable.
Am I a Good Candidate for Brella™?

You should not have a Brella™ treatment if you have cuts, open sores, or active skin conditions in the underarm area. Is There Any Downtime With Brella™?
Non-invasive Brella™ requires no downtime. The patch stays on your skin for three minutes, and after it is removed, you can return to your daily routine. Most people experience no side effects after Brella™. A few people will notice minor redness or sensitivity lasting a few hours.
