Loss of collagen is one of the most common causes of facial aging. Loss of facial volume is the other. Emface® is the first treatment to address both causes of aging to give you smoother, firmer skin and more sculpted features. At Capital Laser & Skin Care, we love the results this treatment provides.

What is Emface®?

Many treatments can address a few signs of aging. Emface®, however, targets several major signs of aging in one treatment, including fine lines and wrinkles, loss of facial volume, and skin laxity. This innovative treatment uses two different forms of energy to act on your skin, triggering collagen production, and your muscles, producing more shape and tone.

How Much Does Emface® Cost?

The cost of Emface®, like most aesthetic treatments, varies depending on several factors, including your location and the number of treatments needed. Emface® is a new treatment, so prices may continue to decrease. An average series of four Emface® treatments cost anywhere from $3,500 to $4,000. When compared to other treatments, Emface® addresses more signs of aging and provides an overall more youthful appearance that makes it worth the cost.

How Does Emface® Work?

Emface® uses two forms of energy:

HIFES (High-Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation)

Muscles respond to electrical stimulation by contracting. Emface® causes your facial muscles to contract repeatedly, providing the equivalent of an intensive workout. This energy does not harm the muscles, and the contractions cause them to become stronger and more toned, enhancing your facial volume and shape.

Radiofrequency Energy

Radiofrequency (RF) energy can travel through the skin without causing discomfort and reach the deep layers of the dermis. Cells in this layer, called fibroblasts, produce collagen and elastin. RF energy stimulates these cells to increase their production, resulting in smoother, fuller-looking skin with fewer lines and wrinkles.

What is an Emface® Treatment Like?

Your Emface® treatment begins with your provider cleaning your face and then applying the applicator pads to the forehead and cheeks. When treatment begins, you will feel a gentle warmth as the RF energy begins to work. You will also feel a vibration from the applicators that causes your facial muscles to contract. This process is painless and takes under half an hour.

How Many Emface® Treatments Will I Need?

Like all muscles, your facial muscles need to repeat their training to increase their mass and tone. The standard Emface® series is four treatments spaced one to two weeks apart. Emface® is so gentle that almost no time is required between sessions. Most people will benefit from occasional maintenance treatments, although the schedule will be different for each person.
