What is CoolMini?
CoolMini is a CoolSculpting applicator for treating smaller, harder-to-reach pockets of fat, such as under the chin, above the knees, and around the armpits. Below you will see an example of how we use the CoolMini applicator to freeze submental fat under the chin.

How Does CoolMini Work?
CoolMini is a miniature applicator of the popular CoolSculpting non-surgical procedure created by Harvard scientists that uses a process known as cryolipolysis to freeze and minimize stubborn fat cells. It delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself intact. The treated fat cells crystallize then gradually self-destruct and die. Over time, the body naturally processes the fat and minimize these dead cells which result in a long-term, more sculpted appearance at the treatment site. CoolMini specifically targets stubborn fat that causes a double chin.
*What to Expect During Your CoolMini Procedure
During your treatment, a gel pad and applicator are placed on the targeted area. You may feel pulling, tugging and mild pinching at the beginning of the treatment. Controlled cooling is then delivered to the targeted fat layer. The sensation of cold during treatment usually subsides after five to ten minutes once the treatment area becomes numb. At this point, most patients will read, check email, watch a movie, or just take a nap. After CoolSculpting, most patients can return to normal activities right away. Although many people will start to notice results in as little as three weeks after treatment, the most dramatic changes are seen after three months.All of our CoolSculpting consultations and treatments are performed in our state-of-the-art body contouring suites for maximum privacy.
