What is SkinVive™ by Juvederm®?
SkinVive™ is a new product by the makers of the popular Juvederm® dermal fillers. However, SkinVive™ is not a dermal filler and will not change the shape or volume of your facial features. It is designed to hold moisture within the skin, providing hydration to the deep layers that result in a vibrant glow. Supplying hydration from within lets SkinVive™ provide smoother, healthier-looking skin.
What is SkinVive™ Used for?
Unlike its relatives, SkinVive™ does not add facial volume. It uses hyaluronic acid microdroplets that distribute evenly under the skin, leading to an even, all-over brightness. Hyaluronic acid is often found in skincare products because it effectively absorbs and maintains hydration in the skin. When injected as SkinVive™, it draws hydration into the deep layers for better results.
SkinVive™ is FDA-approved to improve hydration and leave skin looking refreshed. It helps makeup apply more evenly and can even help you feel confident without it. SkinVive™ is not intended to enhance volume or correct hollow-looking cheeks. If you have these concerns, your Capital Laser & Skin Care expert injector can recommend a different treatment. This treatment is currently FDA-approved for the cheeks only.
Is There Any Downtime After SkinVive™?
Your SkinVive™ treatment usually takes less than half an hour. You will receive a series of injections into your cheek area, which may feel like small pinches. You can return to your daily routine with no downtime. The microdroplets in SkinVive™ are designed to naturally spread out within the skin to hydrate and smooth it evenly.
How Long Does SkinVive™ Last?
Your SkinVive™ results will become visible almost immediately as the microdroplets distribute in your skin. You will see your full results after a few days as the hyaluronic acid attracts and holds onto moisture. Research has shown that SkinVive™ results continue to look radiant and smooth after six months or more.
Am I a Good Candidate for SkinVive™?
SkinVive™ is ideal for anyone seeking smoother, more hydrated skin in the cheek area. Good candidates are already satisfied with their cheek shape and volume but want to see healthier, more luminous skin. Candidates should have reasonable expectations and goals. You should not have SkinVive™ injections if you have an infection or active skin condition in the treatment area. It is also not recommended if you are pregnant.
