If you are conscious about skincare routines and have been looking into procedures that can enhance your skin appearance, you have probably come across chemical peel treatments. A chemical peel is a popular skincare procedure to maximize skin health and beauty.

However, it can be tricky to figure out how much you should spend on professional chemical peel treatments to achieve the best results. A professional chemical peel is a treatment performed by trained physicians who can assess your skin needs and customize the procedure accordingly. Professional chemical peels, as provided by our team at Capital Laser & Skin Care, are nothing like the DIY treatments you can buy in-store. As such, their cost is different.

Chemical Peel Benefits

A chemical peel is designed to remove the outer skin layers, targeting damaged skin cells to reveal the healthy skin underneath. It is a procedure we recommend our patients to rejuvenate the skin and boost overall skin health. You can also use chemical peel procedures to tackle other complaints, such as removing sun damage or managing breakout issues.

You can achieve so many different results with the treatment because there is more than one chemical peel available. At Capital Laser & Skin Care, we use four different types of chemical peels:

  • Trichloroacetic acid (TCA),
  • Vitalize®, which combines salicylic, lactic, retinoid acids, and resorcinol,
  • PCA Ultrapeel®, which combines TCA, lactic, kojic, azelaic acids,
  • Glycolic acid in different strengths.

Our team also can provide different types of treatments, namely light, medium, or deep chemical peel to target various skin complaints. These variations mean that when you ask for a chemical peel with a professional dermatologist, you can receive a customized treatment and adapted to your skin, preferences, medical conditions, and needs.

Average Cost of Chemical Peel Treatment

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of a chemical peel treatment is $644 (2019 statistics). However, this doesn’t reflect the reality of chemical peels. A deeper chemical peel, for instance, could cost up to $3,000 or more, while if you pick a light chemical peel, you can expect to pay as little as $150 for the treatment.

How much you spend per chemical peel treatment depends on your skin needs, the type of peel, and the expertise of the person who performs the treatment. At Capital Laser & Skin Care, our board-certified dermatologist founder, Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi, has 20 years of experience helping patients regain skin health. Her expertise is valued by patients who can enhance their appearances through healthy skin.

We recommend regular chemical peel treatments to address more specific skin problems, such as improving discoloration, melasma, or breakout management. The cost of your treatment will also include the prescription of recovery products and skincare expertise.

Am I a Candidate for Chemical Peels?

Due to its customizable nature, the chemical peel is adapted to most skin types and conditions. However, the procedure is not recommended for everyone. It’s best to reach out to our Board-certified Dermatologists to determine if a chemical peel will help you achieve your skin goals.
