Have you noticed skin laxity around the cheeks and jowls? You can tighten this loose skin and restore your contours with Thermage®. In just one treatment, this non-invasive treatment triggers collagen production for firmer, smoother skin. You can expect visible tightening in your problem areas.
What is Thermage® Skin Tightening?
Using radiofrequency energy, Thermage® stimulates collagen production to tighten and lift your skin over time. At Capital Laser & Skin Care, we can use Thermage® on your face and body to treat skin laxity and increase firmness. If you have cheek and jowl laxity, sagging upper eyelids, or loose skin on your body, Thermage® can give you long-lasting skin tightening.
How Does Thermage® Work?
The Thermage® handpiece emits radiofrequency (RF) energy into the dermis, the layer of the skin where collagen fibers form. This energy creates heat, triggering the cells in the dermis to begin producing more collagen. Collagen forms a vital part of the skin’s supporting structure, so increased collagen improves skin tightness and resilience. Treatment can take between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the area you have treated.
How Much is Thermage®?
Costs for procedures like Thermage® can be much different depending on where you live and which provider you choose. The national average cost for Thermage® is $2,450. However, prices may range from $1200 to $4,500, so we recommend a consultation for a more accurate estimate. When choosing a provider, cost should only be one factor in your decision.
What Results Will I See With Thermage®?
You will see some skin tightening immediately after treatment as the collagen fibers under the skin tighten. Full results will appear within three to four months as your new collagen develops. Results last at least a year and may last up to two years. We recommend Thermage® as part of a yearly anti-aging regimen to maintain and improve your results over time.
Is There Any Downtime With Thermage®?
You will have no downtime with Thermage®. You can go back to your usual activities after treatment. Some people notice their skin feels sensitive for a day or two after their Thermage® session. We recommend using a dermatologist-recommended sunscreen to protect your newly forming collagen from damage.
Am I a Candidate for Thermage® Skin Tightening?
If you have concerns about skin laxity, Thermage® may help. Good candidates have mild to moderate laxity around the cheeks and jowls, over the eyes, or on the body. You should have reasonable expectations about your results, which will be less dramatic than surgical skin tightening.
